Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher and Justin H. Min return to the third season of the series ” The Umbrella Academy “, in a new session that, as promised by its cast, will be much more “massive”.

The story, one of the most successful on the Netflix platform since it premiered in 2019, deals with the experiences of a group of adopted and misfit brothers, with special superpowers, who come together to investigate the death of their father. In a second season with a mysterious ending, they went back in time and battled their opponents.

“This third season we are really doing our thing. I think the show has found some really great storylines to follow and explore,” said The Umbrella Academy creator Steve Blackman. His actress, Raver-Lampman, also chatted with Collider, stating that “the upcoming season is set to deviate markedly from the source material of the graphic novel”.

Filming for this upcoming shoot was delayed due to the covid-19 pandemic. Raver-Lampma expressed excitement for the next installment, although without revealing more details of the premiere. “I hope it’s this summer, I really want to see this season,” she told the publication, insisting that the wait will be worth it.

“I think our show has found its tone. I think that’s partly because we’ve all worked together for a long time.” Also Steve and the writers now really know how to write for the characters… we all feel like we now speak for these characters and have a deeper understanding of them, and also the universe they exist in,” he told Collider.

Blackman was also surprised by sharing a video of at least 17 seconds long where he gave a glimpse of what is coming in the next season. Thus, some of the characters played by Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman and Robert Sheehan appeared preparing to do battle at Sparrow Academy.

The short video ends with the phrase “The Sparrows Have Landed” written in white as the music intensifies. Emmy Raver-Lampman, Colm Feore, Justin Cornwell, Ritu Arya, Britne Oldford, Jake Epstein, Cazzie David, Javon “Wanna” Walton and Genesis Rodríguez will also participate in this session that begins on June 22 on the Netflix platform.
