The Chosen One: Two actors died while recording series

This Thursday two actors from the Netflix series The Chosen One died while filming the production. They are Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar .

The artists died after the crash of the van in which they were traveling while recording the production for the streaming platform. Six other people, who were part of the cast and film crew, were injured in the accident.

The accident occurred Thursday near Mulegé, a Mexican town located on the Baja California Sur peninsula. According to local media, the vehicle was overturned after going off the road while traveling through a desert area. The crew had recorded some scenes in the nearby area of ​​Santa Rosalía.

Yesterday afternoon, the Baja California Ministry of Culture confirmed the death of the actors in its official accounts: “From the State Government we deeply regret the deaths of Raymundo Garduño Cruz and Juan Francisco González Aguilar ‘Paco Mufote’. Our condolences to his family, friends, and the artistic community of Baja California. Rest in peace”.

For now, the filming of “The Chosen One” was suspended. They have not yet reported if they will resume the recordings. According to the call for auditions, the series was being carried out by an independent production company.
