Mi Tío: José Eduardo Derbez debuts as a protagonist in the Amazon Prime series

José Eduardo Derbez debuted as the protagonist of the series ” My Uncle “, an installment that will be released on March 25 by Amazon Prime.

The streaming giant published the trailer for the film starring José Eduardo Derbez, Santiago Beltrán Ulrich and Ariadnez Díaz.

“My Uncle” will tell the story of Andy, a frustrated and heartbroken musician who was about to end his life because he thought it was meaningless.

However, his sister, Sam (Ariadne Díaz), manages to make Andy commit a tragedy by asking him to take care of her ten-year-old son named Tadeo. The minor hypochondriac and nerd comes into the life of his uncle to make sense of it.

The project includes Eduardo Yáñez, Gema Garoa, Michelle González, María López, Luis Arrieta and Alfonso Borbolla.

“My Uncle” is based on the BBC original series “ Uncle ”, a Baby Cow production, written by Oliver Refson and Lilah Vandenburgh, and distributed by BBC Studios.

The Amazon Prime series consists of six episodes and is directed by Javier Colinas. Aldeni Fraga and Mao García are screenwriters. The series is produced by Eckehardt von Damm, Sandro Halphen and Roberto Fiesco of Corazón Films, along with Mario Almeida of Pantaya, Iliana Reyes Chávez, Javier Colinas and Carla Farell.
