Karol G at Coachella: this was her tribute to Shakira, J Balvin, Daddy Yankee and more

Coachella,2022 one of the biggest music parties in the world, takes place over two three-day weekends and traditionally marks the season for big concerts. The first from April 15 to 17 and the second from April 22 to 24.

Therefore, this Sunday, April 17, the Colombian Karol G participated in the poster of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival 2022 and shone as usual on each stage in which it is presented.

During her presentation, which lasted 45 minutes, the artist from Antioquia exclaimed at times: “This is my first time on this stage. Up the ‘bichotas (…). Dreams come true and I am sharing with you”.

Karol G also performed the song ‘Mami’ live for the first time with guest artist Becky G and, minutes before, she was on stage with Tiësto, singing ‘Don’t be shy.

The Colombian did not stop expressing to her followers her love for her country and representing the Latino community. On stage, Karol G took the opportunity to take a tour of those most important songs in Latin music, and for this she sang ´María´ by Ricky Martin, ´La macarena´ by Los del Río, ´La Vida es un carnival´ by Celia Cruz, ´Gasolina´ by Daddy Yankee, ´Hips don´t lie by Shakira, ´Despacito´ by Luis Fonsi and ´Mi gente´ by J Balvin.

“These are the colors of my flag. I am from Colombia and I am proud to represent them and the entire Latin community”, said Karol G before interpreting Selena’s song ‘Como la flor’. Finally, she closed her presentation with ´Tusa´, one of her many musical successes.

Several of her followers arrived at the Antioquia show wearing aquamarine wigs, a style that Karol G has been using lately. The artist had asked her fans to come to the festival to accompany her with that look and they did not fail her.

Who also shone at Coachella was the Colombian singer and songwriter Ela Minus, who closed the presentations on the Sonora stage on Friday.

In the middle of the presentation, Minus, one of the most important artists in the country’s electronic scene, took a Colombian flag from the audience and put it around her neck.

It is worth noting that the 2020 edition of the famous festival held in this desert region of California was postponed when the covid-19 pandemic shook the world. And, after two years of chaotic cancellations, he returned last Friday with his extravaganza and seven boxes vying for the attention of thousands of fans with a diverse list of artists.

The attendees wander, dance, eat and drink between one stage and another, also walking through some artistic installations. Music fans rush to gather as the first chords of each show kick-off, and with the movement, the grass begins to give way to a cloud of dust.
