The 2023 Hollywood Critics Association’s HCA Film Awards took place on Friday night (February 24) at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in Beverly Hills, Calif.
Hosted by Tig Notaro, the awards show recognized outstanding performances and achievements in the film industry over the past year. Among the night’s big winners were Brendan Fraser and Angela Bassett.
Brendan Fraser was awarded Best Actor for his exceptional performance in an acclaimed film, while Angela Bassett took home the Best Supporting Actress award. Both actors gave unforgettable performances in their respective roles, captivating audiences and critics alike.

Director Rian Johnson, the mind behind “Golden Onion: A Knives Out Mystery,” was also recognized at the awards show with the Filmmaking Achievement Award.
