Winning the bronze microphone at Benidorm Fest 2023 was just the beginning of a career that will take her to Liverpool. Blanca Paloma is already being warmed up, and she has numerous stops planned along the route, including this one at the Song Festival, where she will perform as a guest in a very special evening.
Portugal has given the woman from Alicante the opportunity to perform on stage and spice up the ceremony when the country’s representative in Eurovision will be chosen. It will appear in the first semifinal on February 25, alongside Ana Bacalhau and Fernando Tordo.
Everything suggests that Blanca Paloma’s EAEA, a song that combines flamenco rhythms with electronics and folklore, will excite listeners once more.
A good opportunity to continue demonstrating to the audience that sound that is uniquely his and that, in May, will reverberate in every corner of the globe.
A lullaby and claw song written by the artist herself, lvaro Tato, and producer José Pablo Polo that leaves no one unmoved.
The International Song Festival
This year, the national selection to choose the theme that will represent Portugal at the Festival will be divided into two semifinals, one on February 25 and another on March 4, with the final on March 11. There will be a total of 20 individuals vying for that pass to Liverpool, but only one will be chosen.
The televoting and jury will select the five artists from each gala who will compete in the grand finale. Of course, the public will be able to play off one of the eliminated this year, which is a first.
The first gala will be led by Tânia Ribas de Oliveira and José Carlos Malato, while the second will be led by Sónia Arajo and Jorge Gabriel. Inês Lopes Gonçalves from the “green room” will accompany Filomena Cautela and Vasco Palmeirim as presenters for the final.
April Ivi, Bolha, Churky, Cláudia Pascoal, Esse Povo, Mimicat, Moyah, Neon Soho, Sal, and You Can’t Win Charlie Brown will all perform in the first semifinal. Bandua, Bárbara Tinoco, Dapunksportif, Edmundo Inácio, Inês Just, Ivandro, Lara Li, Teresinha Landeiro, The Happy Mess, and Voodoo Marmalade will perform at the second gala.
Nicolas Alves, Carlos Higes’ Junior Eurovision 2023 companion, will be among the other invited musicians. Among others, Salvador Sobral and David Fonseca will perform.
Chanel’s appearance at the Song Festival
The winner of the first Benidorm Fest also visited the event’s tables to donate everything with her SloMo. The pop dance with Latin and urban influences, which finished third in Turin, will join the Portuguese party on March 7, 2022. On stage, you were a complete success!
