Big Little Lies: HBO puts release date to the expected second season and the end of Veep

It is one of the most anticipated returns of 2019 and HBO has just put a release date. I’m talking about ‘ Big Little Lies ‘, one of the essential series of 2017 and whose second season will come next June.

HBO has not revealed a specific date yet , but considering that ‘ Game of Thrones ‘ will end in May and that by that time the chain will premiere ‘Chernobyl’ (later you have more details), I would not expect to have these new episodes until the end of June But of course, as always, we must wait for the final design of the programmer.

Next to the release date we have a first image of the season, in which we see the Monterey Five in all its glory . This time it will be Andrea Arnold who will take over from Jean Marc Vallée in the direction, with a story written by David E. Kelley and starring Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon, Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern, Zoë Kravitz, Meryl Streep, Adam Scott and more.
The last season of ‘Veep’ arrives in March

We will not have to wait so long to see the final season of ‘ Veep ‘, since it will arrive on March 31 (so we can see it on April 1 in Spain), two weeks before the premiere of the final season of ‘Game of Thrones’ . The excellent political satire will end with Selina considering returning to the race to the White House after being unable to live a “normal civilian” life.

On the other hand, in May we will have the premiere of ‘Chernobyl’, the five-episode miniseries that will explore one of the greatest nuclear catastrophes in history from the point of view of those who lived it in their own flesh. The series is written by Craig Mazin and directed by ‘Johan Renck’ (‘Breaking Bad’). On the acting side we will have Jared Harris, Stellan Skarsgård and Emily Watson.
