Ashley Graham posts video against slimming mania

Five months after giving birth to her twins, Ashley Graham released a statement against the slimming craze. Posting this video for all the moms whose characters haven’t returned to their original form and maybe never will. And for anyone who needs a reminder that your body is beautiful in its actual form, the 34-year-old captioned a short clip on Instagram on set of a photoshoot.

This is her “strong five-month-post-birth-and-two-years-pregnant-body”, wrote the model – “as it is”. And she stressed that all bodies at absolutely every stage of life should increasingly be considered normal. She posed in front of the camera in a bra and long cotton underwear.

Graham, too, sometimes struggles with the body

Graham, who has been campaigning for self-acceptance and against exclusionary ideals of beauty for many years, gave birth to her twin sons, Malachi and Roman, in January. She also has a two-year-old son, Isaac, with her husband, film director Justin Ervin.

Just a few weeks ago, Ashley Graham explained in an interview with “Glamour” magazine that she sometimes struggled with her body after the birth of her twins. “I look at the stretch marks that are still there and will be on my stomach forever and I’m like, ‘God, why did you have to go over my belly button? I’m a lingerie model, dammit.’”
