The new collection featured an advertising campaign for ‘Gucci Tiger’ by the fashion brand which included a wide selection of “ready-to-wear and accessories featuring animal motifs in various iterations”. The photos feature models wearing the company and the collection of real tigers.

Meanwhile, the fashion brand reported that the tigers were photographed in a “safe environment” and that an animal welfare organization monitored the set while the animals were being shot and confirmed that “no animals were harmed.”

World Animal Protection took to Instagram to raise concerns about the new ad campaign released by Gucci. In a video posted on Instagram, World Animal Protection said, “Hey Gucci, Tiger is not Sahara.” In the caption, World Animal Protection emphasized that Gucci is sending the wrong message.
