After receiving seven Oscar nominations for his performance in “A Star Is Born,” the actor felt as if he had nothing further to prove, but he was upset by a conversation he had with a prominent director.

An evening spent in Hollywood provided the American artist with the opportunity to hear a sentence that does not yet pass.

About a mutual acquaintance who is an actor, the director said, “What kind of a world do we live in when you have seven Oscar nominations and she only has three?”

“I was thinking, ‘I hate this f***** middle,'” he said.
