Why Google deactivates your account if you don’t use it every 3 months?

Some users forget to use the services offered by Google and this situation can put the account at risk. Find out all the details here.

Have you ever wondered what happens if you don’t use a service for a while? On the Internet, there are people who think of everything and yes, the possibility of dying or getting sick is also contemplated. In this sense, the question arises of knowing what would happen if a service like Google is not used. Therefore, in this note, we explain why Google deactivates your account if you spend more than three months inactive.

Google has a protocol that deactivates user accounts after three months of inactivity. If you exceed 90 days without connecting or using one of their services, you could run into problems.

Their services are very extensive and you probably won’t go a day without using them, but it is something you should consider. If your Google account does not have access to or a connection of any kind, it will be deactivated.

It may not be important for your main account, but it is in case you have a secondary account that you have not logged in to for a while. If you do not have it configured on any device, Google will not detect that you are entering, so it will decide to suspend it unilaterally.

Now, the bright side is that after this time Google doesn’t get rid of your account permanently, it just renders it inoperative. It is possible, if you remember the access data, to enter and activate it again. But all of that depends on you setting it up in the inactive account manager.

Additionally, Google has a section where you can configure how long it takes for your account to become inactive and what to do in those cases. You can choose to have it removed, given access to other users, or left as is.
