The WhatsApp app is one of the most used to send and receive photos and videos, with which family friends immortalize moments to always remember them. There are also those who send a lot of memes to the groups, to share and laugh a good time.
The problem generated by image and clip files is that, if they accumulate, they make the memory of smartphones fill up, collapse the functions of the devices and could even prevent WhatsApp from being used correctly.
When the app is installed for the first time, all downloaded media files are automatically scheduled to be saved in the phone’s gallery, since the “Media files visibility” option of each individual or group chat is activated by default.
However, there is a very useful way to disable that option, so that photos and videos are not automatically downloaded and saved on the phone. They will simply remain in the WhatsApp chat.
