Gmail: how to delete emails from notifications on my phone?

Google’s email client, which is Gmail, comes with a series of options configured by default, but that we can modify. Regarding the notifications of the app, if we display them we have the possibility of filing or responding.

However, for most Gmail users, the most useful and comfortable thing would be if one of these options is to delete. Fortunately, the application does allow you to easily configure these buttons to be able to delete messages that we are not interested in from the notifications on the phone.

How to delete emails from notifications?

Whether they are commercial emails, spam, or simply emails that we are not even interested in reading, we have the possibility of deleting emails from Gmail from the notification panel itself. To do so, follow these instructions:

• Open the Gmail app on your Android smartphone or tablet
• Then, open the menu on the left sidebar.
• Scroll down to the bottom and tap on settings
• A new panel will open and in it, we will have to select general settings.
• When entering the general settings menu we will find the option ‘default notification action’.
• Then click on ‘default notification action’ and choose the delete option.

In this way, from the next email message that we receive in our Gmail tray, we will be able to delete them from the notification panel of our Android phone.
