Chelsea liquidates Real Madrid, and there will be an English final in the Champions League.

The Blues are looking for their second Champions League championship against Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.

Chelsea will play its third Champions League final after beating Real Madrid on Wednesday by a score of 2-0 (aggregate score 3-1). With this, a new English final is confirmed in which the Blues will face Manchester City, who threw Paris Saint-Germain out of the European championship on Tuesday.

The setting for this semi-final match was the Stamford Bridge stadium, home of Chelsea in London. The Real Madrid was obliged not to lose and score goals, but the blues showed superiority in both games to end the Madrid dream of the fourteenth Orejona.

Timo Werner put the English club ahead of half an hour (minute 28) when German Kai Havertz defined before the departure of Thibaut Courtois. The ball hits the crossbar, but the rebound is taken advantage of by his compatriot.

A Benzema chance seemed to get the visiting team to react. Still, immediately afterward, Chelsea went ahead with a shot from Werner at pleasure after Havertz’s vaseline crashed into the crossbar.

In the second half, Chelsea continued to command the tie, both in the result and in the game. At minute 85, the English were led by an excellent Mason Mount.

The accumulated fatigue of the Spanish team did not allow them to attack with the brilliance of other days, and Chelsea ended up finishing the task with a goal from Mount at 85 ′ that rewards the insistence of the London club with a pass to dream in Istanbul.

Chelsea became champion for the first time in its history in 2012, after winning the final against Bayern Munich on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time, with goals from Thomas Müller to 82 minutes, the Germans and annotation head at 88 ′ from Didier Drogba for the blues.

In 2008, it was the first time Chelsea would reach the final, but this time they were not victorious when they fell to Manchester United on penalties after a 1-1 draw.
