Brothers kill their stepfather after learning that he sexually abused their 9-year-old sister

Two 18-year-old brothers beat their stepfather to death, with the help of a friend, after learning that he was sexually abusing their nine-year-old sister in a community in Texas, United States.

Brothers Alexandro and Christian Treviño, along with Juan Eduardo Meléndez, all 18, were accused of beating Gabriel Quintanilla , 42, to death on Thursday last week, stepfather of the Treviño brothers.

A farmer discovered Quintanilla’s body and called the McAllen police; upon discovery, the investigation was turned over to the Pharr Police Department. There was a complaint about the victim for sexual abuse of a minor , later the police revealed that the minor attacked was the nine-year-old daughter of Quintanilla.

When the brothers Alexandro and Christian Treviño found out, they became enraged and confronted Gabriel Quintanilla at his home . A physical fight ensued between the three of them and the victim Quintanilla left the place on foot,” authorities said

Christian ran after Quintanilla and found him outside an apartment complex across the street from Lyndon and Coyote, East Moore in Pharr, according to police.

“A second assault occurs there when Alexandro Treviño and a driver of a red Dodge Charger, Juan Eduardo Meléndez, reach out and join the assault on the victim,” police said.

The three leave the scene, change vehicles and return to the area, where they found an injured Quintanilla walking down Veterans Road.

At that time a third attack occurred, where Quintanilla was brutally beaten . The victim, still alive, was placed in the bed of the truck and they drove from the scene to McColl and Whalen Road, where they abandoned the man in an open field and fled the scene, according to the police investigation.

According to the police report, the man was hit with metal knuckles and suffered head trauma . When they abandoned him in the field he was still alive.

Cristian and Juan Eduardo were charged with capital murder, aggravated assault and participation in organized criminal activity, while Alexandro was charged with aggravated assault and participation in organized criminal activity; He was not charged with murder because he did not deliver fatal blows.
