Ukraine claims that it is repelling and slowing down Russia’s offensive

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have reported early local time this Thursday that they are “repelling and stopping” the Russian offensive after two weeks of conflict.

Specifically, in their daily report, they have explained that“occupation forces lost their combat capacity and put reserves into operation.”

They have also denounced the “support” of Belarus to Russia with “supply of fuel and oil, railway infrastructure and network of aerodromes”.

Thus, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have said that the Russian forces would be trying to reach the northern outskirts of Kyiv and reinforcing their units around Mykolaiv, in southern Ukraine.

The Ukrainian Army has reported attacks in the eastern cities of Kharkiv and Izium and in cities in northeastern Ukraine, in Sumy and Oktyrka. It has also been reported that “naval groups of the Russian Armed Forces are in the Tarkhankut and Lake Donuzlav areas.”

The Russian Foreign Minister, Sergei Lavrov, and his Ukrainian counterpart, Dimitro Kuleba, will hold a tripartite meeting in Turkey on Thursday, a meeting that was revealed on Monday by the Turkish Government, as part of their efforts to reach an agreement to put end to the war.

The spokesman for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Oleg Nikolenko, has reported on his Twitter account that Kuleba has already “arrived in Antalya for talks on the cessation of hostilities by Russia and the end of its war against Ukraine”.
