Russian soldier rolled over his own officer with a tank

According to the reports, a Russian soldier intentionally ran over his superior with a tank. The soldier wanted to protest against the numerous losses, the report said. The Mail reports that his unit of 1,500 men has already been reduced by half.

The colonel was injured in both legs and taken to a hospital in Belarus. He is said to be Yuri Medvedev, commander of a Russian tank battalion. Details of the consequences of the action for the soldier are not known. According to a Ukrainian journalist, the newspaper report went on to say that the soldier was angry about the heavy losses suffered by his unit. According to the Ukrainian journalist, half of the battalion’s soldiers were either killed or injured.

Presumed Russian soldiers can be seen on a video on the Internet, identified by the typical white bandages on their arms and legs. They carry an injured person from an armoured vehicle to what appears to be a makeshift hospital. The video was shared on social media by the British tabloid Daily Mail, among others. The report cannot be independently confirmed, nor whether the man on the stretcher is Medvedev.
