Russian bombing of Ukraine leaves 331 civilian casualties, according to UN

The UN Human Rights Office reported that, of this total, 19 are minors. In addition, they confirmed that 675 people have been injured.

During Russia’s attack on Ukraine, it has once again become clear that civilians bear the brunt of a war crisis. A report from the United Nations has indicated that the Russian bombardment has left 331 citizens dead so far. In addition, it also revealed the number of children that are included in this unfortunate figure.

This organization, during these eight days of the siege on Ukrainian territory, has demanded that the invading militia stop its deployment because human rights are being violated and, furthermore, because it is a transgression of International Law. Despite this, President Vladimir Putin has stepped up the operation. He has even already taken important zones such as Chernobyl and has even attacked the other nuclear power plant called Zaporizhzhya, which implies a great danger from radiation.

During this large-scale onslaught that has several objectives, among them to prevent Ukraine from joining NATO because in this way it could confront Russia, the UN has been preparing a daily report on the number of civilian victims. According to the latest report of this Friday, March 4, there are already a total of 331 citizens deceased and 675 injured in Ukrainian territory.

The agency, which has mentioned that the figure could be much higher, has indicated that of the current number of deaths, 19 correspond to children. Most of the deaths, they report, have been caused by explosives such as heavy artillery shelling, multiple launch rocket systems and air missile strikes.
