Russia includes 27 countries on the list of the hostile territories

Facing the war in Ukraine, the 27 member countries of the European Union have been included in a list considered as “hostile” nations by the president of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The United States, Japan, Canada and other foreign nations also appear on this list, according to what the Russian agency Interfax reported on Monday.

The document has been signed by the Prime Minister, Mikhail Mishustin, and is part of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation issued on March 5, 2022. “On the temporary procedure to fulfil obligations with certain foreign creditors”, Interfax advanced, quoted by EFE.

The territories that are defined as hostile countries are Australia, Albania, Andorra, Great Britain (including the island of Jersey and other overseas territories it controls such as the island of Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands and Gibraltar), Iceland and Liechtenstein.

Also in the relationship are Micronesia, Monaco, New Zealand, Norway, the Republic of Korea, San Marino, North Macedonia, Singapore, Taiwan, Montenegro, Switzerland, Japan and Ukraine itself.
