death of Aamir Liaquat Hussain
Aamir Liaquat Hussain was 50 years old and the causes of his death are not yet known. Since his disappearance, messages from personalities have rained down on social networks and the session of the National Assembly has even been suspended. A controversial figure on the Pakistani political and media scene died on Thursday June 9.
His personality, but also the popularity he enjoyed despite his many escapades fascinated Pakistani society. Several times elected deputy since 2002, under the colors of the PTI, Imran Khan’s party from 2018, he finally supported the vote of no confidence against him last April.
The fame of this televangelist comes mainly from his many religious programs canceled one after the other. One because he had ironically reenacted the suicide of a young girl. Another is because he had presented on the air the killing of members of a Pakistani minority as a religious duty. A few days later, two people from this same community were killed.
A love life followed closely
His first two marriages and divorces were also very followed on social networks. Last February, he introduced his third wife, aged 18, to the public. A month later, the latter accused him of torture and claimed that he was a drug addict.
News of his death sparked divided reactions. While many fans and personalities express their grief, others refuse to forget the dark side of this celebrity.
