Youtuber Alex Tienda has been in Ukraine since last week.
The Mexican travel blogger José Alejandro Tienda Ramírez, better known as Alex Tienda, is currently documenting what is happening in Ukraine, a place that was invaded by Russia on February 24.
However, a few hours ago he announced through his Facebook page that someone entered his laptop, as he had left it at the hotel where he was staying in Kiev.
Hours later, he notified his followers that his Instagram account had been hacked, which was from where, through his stories, he narrated everything that was happening in Ukraine in real-time.
“I left my luggage, laptop/hard drive in the hotel, and with the start of the war, returning to Kiev is no longer an option,” explained the native of Veracruz. “I was going to shoot in the conflict zone and at that time Kiev was a safe place… The possibility of an invasion in Kiev, at that time, seemed very far away. […] Access to my computer and all my information is what really concerns me now, ”he added.
A second post on Facebook was short and blunt, saying: “ My Instagram was hacked. I URGE to get out of here .” Apparently, the person who entered her computer had the opportunity to access her Instagram account and hack it; The reasons are unknown, but the followers of Tienda speculate that it was so that he could not make any type of publication or continue documenting the situation.
Now, if you enter your username on Instagram ( @soyalextienda ) the page comes out as unavailable, so they could have changed the URL/username.
A few minutes ago, the influencer denounced on his Facebook page that there are already people creating false profiles in his name as a ‘backup account’; commonly there are people who do this to get a high number of followers in some accounts.
“Don’t be fooled and report it! People have already started to take advantage of the situation. I am NOT sending messages from a supposed new account. DENOUNCE!”, exposed the YouTuber.
Currently, the only official channels of communication for Alex are his Facebook page and his Twitter account (@AlexTienda) , where he will continue to report on the situation in Ukraine and update what has happened to his Instagram account.
Since last February 17, Alex Tienda shared that he was on his way to Ukraine to document what was happening between Russia and Ukraine before these countries officially declared war. He was visiting cities like Kiev, Kramatorsk, and Donbas.
After hearing the first Russian bombardments in the early hours of February 24, Alex notified on his networks that he would leave the hotel where he was staying, and then go to a shelter with other media. “ They are bombing the whole city. I am hidden in a basement, with other correspondents from all over the world, ”he wrote in his networks.
Even in one of his Instagram stories, Tienda is seen running down the street to get to the Kramatorsk Hotel, where he would be protected. “We don’t know when we can be in danger of being shot. I have the impression that they have not reached this part of the city yet, ”he pointed out.
Alex Tienda’s content is mainly about travel series with an informative and fun approach, but in recent months he has dedicated himself to making documentaries from places like Afghanistan, North Korea and Venezuela.
