Google Doodle Creates An Interactive Game To Celebrate Pizza

Google honoured one of the most popular Italian cuisines, pizza, on Monday, December 6, 2021. They created an animated and interactive doodling game. According to Google, on this day in 2007, the culinary art of Neapolitan’ ‘Pizzaiuolo’ was inscribed in the UNESCO Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. According to the UNESCO website, ‘Pizzaiuolo’ is a Neapolitan culinary method that consists of four steps related to the preparation of the dough and its baking in a wood-fired oven, which involves the baker rotating the dough.

“Despite the fact that flatbread with toppings has been enjoyed for ages in historical civilisations ranging from Egypt to Rome, the southern Italian city of Naples is largely regarded as the genesis of the pizza recognised today in the late 1700s. It is here that the tale of pizza begins: baked in the midst of centuries of global migration, economic progress, and technological advancement,” Google said.

To honour the occasion, Google designed a fun game for its users. The interactive Google Doodle includes a pizza that you may slice into pieces and test your abilities with. This puzzle has some of the most popular pizza toppings from across the globe. The purpose of the game is to cut pizza pieces according to the kind of pizza ordered.
