The adult emergency department of the Purpan hospital will only receive “vital emergencies addressed by the Samu-Centre 15 from Monday, June 6 at 12 p.m. to Tuesday, June 7 at 7 a.m.”, indicates the Toulouse hospitals in a press release.

“Patients requiring non-deferrable care” are invited to first contact “liberal doctors, private health establishments, and the Samu-Centre 15”.

A mobilization of caregivers is planned for Tuesday, June 7, in particular on the question of the quality of care and “the failure of Ségur to retain and attract health professionals”, specifies, on the networks, the CGT of the CHU of Toulouse.

Mobilization to which the Sud-Santé union also calls, which warns of the situation at the Paule-de-Viguier hospital, pointing, in particular, to a birth room “often saturated”, “an accompaniment of certain patients too hasty and brutal for lack of time during overloaded days or nights “… In question, according to the union, “the policies of austerity and budgetary restriction in the field of health”. “Medical and nursing staff in the birth sector can no longer afford not to have the means to properly exercise their profession and support couples,” he explains in a press release.

A demonstration is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday from Place Saint-Cyprien.
