UKRAINIAN JOURNALIST IN TEARS IN FRONT OF BORIS JOHNSON
This is the tragic moment a Ukrainian journalist sobbed in front of Boris Johnson, pleading for assistance. The Prime Minister was asked to consider the plight of mothers and infants fleeing the crisis-stricken country.
Daria Kaleniuk, a journalist who escaped the war-torn country for Poland on Tuesday, addressed Mr Johnson. In painful scenes, she fought back tears.
“Ukrainian children are absorbing the hit… our children, not jets, are guarding Nato against missiles,” she yelled.

She accused him of failing to go far enough in assisting her war-torn country. “Women and children are terrified,” she continued.
“The Ukrainian people are pleading with the West to safeguard our Sky. You may believe that establishing a no-fly zone will precipitate World War III, but what is the alternative, Prime Minister?
“Our children, not jets, are defending us against NATO’s missiles and bombs.” “You are coming to Poland, not Kyiv,” she continued. You are afraid. NATO is unprepared to defend. You fear World War III, but it has already begun.
“The children there are bearing the brunt of the attack. We are in tears and have no idea where to flee.”
“I have to be candid,” Mr. Johnson told her, adding, “With a no-fly zone, the UK would be engaged in shooting down Russian planes, in direct battle with Russia, which is not something we can do or have imagined.”
