Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: Who is the Minotaur of Kamar-Taj?

In the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we hardly have to be surprised by the number of creatures that have been appearing throughout many movies such as Thor: Ragnarok or in the same animated series What if…?

But it is indisputable that among several humans, an apprentice minotaur stands out considerably in the Kamar-Taj in Doctor Strange in the multiverse of madness. What is the story behind it and who is it about? This curious character is called Rintrah and is played by Adam Hugill.

This character is one of the most beloved by fans of Marvel comics and may surprise the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe if he follows the history of the comics to become a major presence in the life of Doctor Strange.

Rintrah first appeared in the 1986 comics, debuting as a mystic from another dimension and originating from the planet R’Vaal. He displayed great sensitivity to occult forces and became an apprentice to a wizard known as Enitharmon, who became known as a variant of Stephen Strange.

Doctor Strange and Rintrah met when the minotaur had to travel to his land to deliver his fixed levitation cloak that was damaged during a battle, something Christine ( Rachel McAdams ) did in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.

WHAT POWERS DOES RINTRAH HAVE?

Rintrah is a sorcerer with the potential to become as powerful as Doctor Strange. He is unaware of all the varieties of magic that he can use, but he has shown some such as performing illusions, levitation, projecting energy shields, and dimensional travel.

Although in Doctor Strange 2 he has appeared briefly, Rintrah may have more prominence in the future of the MCU. In addition, it can change his form when he is on Earth, turning into anyone he has seen on the street or on television, thus allowing him to go unnoticed.

Perhaps we can see him again in Doctor Strange 3 have maintained a great friendship with America Chavez ( Xochitl Gomez ), since she is at the end of the film in Kamar-Taj learning the powers of the sorcerers with him since we see that he is also in the apprentice phase.
