The production of the film that will star Gal Gadot as Cleopatra is still scheduled to go a place, but it is possible that the filming may take place at a different studio than originally planned.
According to Deadline, even if Paramount would still be interested in the project given the production plans for its implementation, the picture about Cleopatra may wind up being produced by Universal Pictures. This is the case even if Paramount would consider the production plans for its execution.
In spite of the fact that the film Cleopatra was supposed to serve as a reunion between Gal Gadot and the director Patty Jenkins after her work on Wonder Woman and Wonder Woman 1984, Jenkins recently withdrew from the project, and Kari Skogland, who directed The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, took over the address instead. Gal Gadot will continue to play Cleopatra.
In the midst of all that is taking place, Laeta Kalogridis is writing the screenplay.
The release date of this Cleopatra movie has not been determined at this time, nor is there a legally binding agreement in place to assure that it will be released by Universal.
