Travis Barker’s ex-wife Shanna Moakler breaks her silence days after her wedding to Kourtney Kardashian

Kourtney Kardashian and her new husband, Travis Barker, have just received praise for their stunning wedding in Italy from a surprising supporter: his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.

The newlyweds wed at Castello Brown, a 16th-century castle in the seaside town of Portofino in front of a select few family and friends, including Moakler’s two children with Barker: son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16. In a moving move, Barker also invited his 23-year-old former stepdaughter, Atiana De La Hoya, whom Moakler shared with former boxer partner Oscar De La Hoya.

“I wish the happy couple a lovely marriage. I will continue to want only the best for my children,” Moakler told Us Weekly in a statement. “It was a beautiful gesture to include my children in such a beautiful event.”The model and former Miss USA added that she was delighted that her daughters and son “looked happy and got to see Italy.”

While Moakler has accepted and praised his ex’s marriage to Kardashian. Not long ago, he criticized the Blink-182 drummer for doing almost identical things to Kardashian that they used to do when they were married between 2004 and 2008.

“They don’t bother me and I don’t even find them scandalous or whatever. Like, if you’re in love and want to show that, go ahead. [But] I’m not recycling from my past relationship,” Moakler told Us Weekly in May 2021.

“The weird thing is, they were posting about a movie [True Romance] that Travis and I bonded over. I named him Clarence in the movie. We named our daughter after the Alabama character in the movie. I walked down the aisle to ‘ You’re So Cool’ by True Romance. Our first dance at our wedding was to the love song from True Romance.”

But while Moakler now sings a happier tune for the newlyweds, Kardashian’s ex Scott Disick remains angry about the union.

According to People magazine, Disick is having a hard time accepting his ex’s new marriage, even though the couple split in 2015 after nine years together and three children: Mason, 12, Penelope, nine, and Reign, seven.

“Scott isn’t taking this well. He’s spending time with friends…so he doesn’t think about it,” a source told the magazine. “It’s been hard for him to process and digest even though he knew it was coming.”

“He was always accepted by the family, even at his absolute lows, and now he can’t even make it to one of the family’s biggest events. He’s not handling it well,” the source said.
