The official synopsis states: “By 1977, Daisy Jones & The Six were on top of the world. Led by two charismatic leading voices—Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin)—the group had risen from anonymity to the fame.

Later, after a sold-out concert at Chicago’s Soldier Field, they decided to call it quits. Now, decades later, the band members finally agree to reveal the truth. This is the story of how an iconic band imploded in the zenith of his powers.”

According to Reid, the series is not a true story, however, it is inspired by Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham of the band Fleetwood Mac, which is why he took inspiration to create this musical drama set in 1970 Los Angeles.

The cast of the series also includes Suki Waterhouse, Josh Whitehouse, Sebastian Chacon, Nabiyah Be, Tom Wright and Timothy Olyphant. Reese Witherspoon was one of the executive producers along with Lauren Neustadter, Brad Mendelsohn, Scott Neustadter, Will Graham and James Ponsoldt.
