The Hollywood coroner has ruled that the death of actor and comedian Leslie Jordan was not the result of a vehicle accident.

Officials have stated that the death of actor Leslie Jordan, known for his witty Southern drawl and versatility on shows like “Will & Grace” and “American Horror Story,” was due to natural causes and not a car accident.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s report states that the 67-year-old actor died of abrupt cardiac dysfunction caused by arteriosclerotic cardiovascular disease.

The fatal incident occurred at 9:30 a.m. on October 24 on Cahuenga Boulevard at Romaine Street, and Jordan was pronounced dead at the scene. A makeshift monument of flowers and candles was erected by fans at the busy junction.

The 4-foot-11 Jordan, who was out and proud as a member of the LGBTQ community, was best known for his appearances on “Will & Grace,” for which he earned a Primetime Emmy in 2006, and “Call Me Kat,” which made its debut in January 2021.

Aside from “The Cool Kids” and “American Horror Story,” he has also been in films including “The Help” and “Ski Patrol.”

While quarantined in his home state of Tennessee, Jordan became an internet star in the early stages of the coronavirus epidemic by releasing comedic videos in which he improvised to music, occasionally danced, and told stories about his acting career.

Reaction flooded in from the entertainment world in response to Jordan’s death.

As Will Truman on “Will & Grace,” Eric McCormack praised Jordan as the “funniest & flirtiest Southern gent I’ve ever known.”

The joy and happiness he provided to each and every episode of Will & Grace was palpable,” McCormack said on Twitter. “Passed away roughly 30 years too soon. You were cherished, sweet man.”

Sean Hayes, Jordan’s co-star on “Will & Grace,” said that Jordan “was one of the funniest people I have had the pleasure of working with.”
Hayes tweeted, “Everyone who ever met him loved him.” “No one else will ever be as good as him.

A rare gift endowed with a generous and kind soul. Your friendship to me will be sorely missed.”

Actress Mayim Bialik of “On Twitter, the cast of “Call Me Kat” said, “There aren’t words to explain the sorrow we’re facing as a cast and a Call Me Kat family.

There was no one quite like Leslie Jordan. He embodied the ideal Southern gentleman: soft, intelligent, rakish, and humorous.”

The City News Service and the Associated Press both helped with this article.
