Rina Lipa, Dua Lipa’s sister who debuted as a professional model

A few days ago, Dua Lipa caught the attention of the media and fans by sharing a reel of photographs with her younger sister in the middle of the celebrations alluding to her 21st birthday. But the news was not necessarily the birthday, but the great similarity that they share, as if they were twins and the comparisons that emerged after the publication.

Who is Rina Lipa? 

He was born on May 14, 2001, in London. Like her sister, 26-year-old Anne Rina Lipa has been grooming herself to take on show business, both American and British. 

At the age of five, both Rina, Dua, and their parents returned to their place of origin, in Kosovo, after the Bosnian War that forced their parents to seek refuge in the United Kingdom. 

There Rina continued her studies and learned to speak Albanian. 

When Dua moved to London at age 15, Rina made it her mission to return to her hometown to follow in her sister’s footsteps, and she did. 

She returned to continue her training in ballet and contemporary dance, she also made her debut on London television and made small commercials. 

With this experience, she was called to participate in The Rock Challenge, a dance competition, and enrolled in acting classes with famed instructor Sylvia Young.

With the influence of her famous sister, the young woman has opted for a career in the fashion industry, as a professional model and is still preparing to be an actress. 

It was in 2019 that Valentino, one of the largest and most prestigious luxury fashion brands, signed her as a professional model for Red Valentino’s spring-summer 2020 campaign. With this achievement, Rina became the youngest mannequin in the Italian firm. 

Although she has had the support of her world-famous sister, Lipa has earned a place in the industry in her own right in recent years. 

She opened the GCDS Fall/Winter 2021 show at Milan Fashion Week last year; she walked the runway with actress Maisie Williams, star of Game of Thrones. 

She is also the image and collaborator of brands such as Prada, Nasty Gal, Linda Farrow, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent, and Reub Selby. 

During the last years, she has worked as the main image in several famous publications such as Numeró and Wonderland, appearing in their special editions and covers.
