Netflix launches an interactive series with the popular video game Trivia Crack

Interactive series has been a great Netflix alternative for a long time. How to forget Black Mirror: Bandersnatch or Cat Burglar, the latter similarly focused on trivia… like Trivia Crack.

The big N and the social media accounts of the video game developed by Etermax announced the launch of the interactive production, a new experience in the streaming service that will be launched on April 1.

Promoted as the funniest multiplatform trivia universe in the world, Trivia Crack is an entertainment franchise, presented as a trivia video game for iOS and Android phones, launched at the end of 2015, and which is currently made up of different active games, among which Trivia Crack, Trivia Crack 2, Trivia Crack Cars or Trivia Crack Adventure stand out.

Like his other interactive series, Trivia Crack is an interactive storytelling experience, which means that every “good decision” will help move the story forward. Correctly answering the game’s questions will also help free the friends of the protagonist, Willy, who in a trailer promises to save the hostage citizens of Trivia Land captured by a knowledge-hungry villain named Evil Rocky.

The success of Trivia Crack

Trivia Crack and its different versions add up to more than 600 million downloads worldwide and more than 150 million annual active users.

The series is the latest show to join Netflix’s growing list of interactive titles. It is the second game, after Cat Burglar, to include a trivia element.

The platform’s vice president of comedy series and interactive programming, Andy Weil, told The Verge that they plan to experience more interactive programming as it expands its gaming initiative.

A new episode of Trivia Crack will hit the service every day throughout April, with 30 episodes in total. Each episode will include 24 trivia questions, 12 easy and 12 hard, in a multiple-choice format.

Categories include science, entertainment, sports, art, geography, and history. The game is based on Etermax’s Trivia Crack, which The New York Times reports was licensed by Netflix.

Players will be able to replay the quizzes to rack up points and correctly answer questions they may have previously missed. Weil also explained it, “ Each individual quiz features a definite ending, but we don’t want to tell you too much about that just yet. You will have to pay to see .”
