Naomi Campbell
In tears, in her cap and gown, Naomi Campbell received an Honorary Doctorate for her contribution to the fashion industry, awarded by the University of Creative Arts, at a ceremony held at London’s Royal Festival Hall.
Excited, the supermodel recommended to the graduates: “Never let anyone change the way you feel, change your vision and what you want for yourself… Never give up.”
The model’s mother, Valerie Morris, who was watching from the audience, received a special nod from her daughter when in her speech she praised the “very strong women” in her life, who taught her the “three D’s” of success: dedication, determination and discipline.
A day before the distinction, Naomi walked for the Balenciaga fashion brand in Paris, France, where she was joined by other stars such as Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Dua Lipa and Bella Hadid.
