Letizia And Marie Chantal Twinned In Black In Athens

On Sunday afternoon, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain arrived in Athens to take part in Monday’s funeral and burial ceremonies for King Constantine of Greece. Letizia went to dinner with Pablo de Grecia and Marie-Chantal Miller while dressed in full mourning regalia, including a black fabric coat and high boots.

Throughout Sunday, delegates from various European royal houses have been arriving in the Hellenic capital in preparation for Monday morning and midday, when they will bid farewell to King Constantine of Greece.

The funeral is scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon (11:00 Spanish hours) in the Metropolitan Cathedral, however a funeral chapel has been accessible to the public in the Chapel of Saint Eleftherios since 6:00 in the morning. Constantine’s body will be interred in the royal pantheon of the Hellenic Royal Family in the Tatoi cemetery after the burial.

The Spanish monarchs, Felipe and Letizia, showed up to the Great Britain Hotel in Athens, where the majority of the world’s leaders are staying, around seven o’clock that night (Spanish time).

The queen wore all black in observance of the mourning custom, and her choice of clothing was a Carolina Herrera fabric coat with a V-neck and a knotted belt for closure. Her purse is likewise by the same designer brand; it has both a long and a short strap. She accessorized with a pair of knee-high suede boots with a chunky heel.

Leaving the hotel at half past eight, Constantino’s family walked to the Kings George restaurant, where the various members of the Spanish and Greek royal families dined. A few hours later, one of the most awaited scenes unfolded: the Kings reuniting with Pablo of Greece, eldest son of the Greek royal dynasty, and his wife, Marie-Chantal Miller. They were very amorous with each other, leaving the restaurant holding hands and smiling.
