In addition to breaking into the top 22 of the Hot 100, “Left and Right” was also crowned this week’s best-selling song.
In the Global Excl. The US and Global 200, “Left and Right” ranked second and fifth, respectively. This ties BTS’s record for the highest solo record on both charts and marks the highest ranking for a BTS member in a lead role.
His No. 2 debut at the Global Excl. US marks Charlie Puth’s first top 10 hit on this list and Jungkook’s second, making him the first BTS member with multiple top 10 hits on the charts. This ranking also ties Suga and PSY with “That That,” which peaked at No. 2 in May, as the highest-ranking solo artist on the Global Excl. US for a member of BTS. With 72.6 million streams worldwide, “Left and Right” lands at No. 5 on the Global 200, recording the first ranking in the Top 10 for both Jungkook and Charlie Puth. The only other entry this high on the Global 200 by a BTS member is Suga and PSY’s “That That,” which also ranked No. 5 last May. Immediately after its release, “Left and Right” swept iTunes charts around the world, and earlier this week the song made its debut on several of the UK’s official charts.
Congratulations to Jungkook and Charlie Puth!
