After 15 years of the premiere of “I am Legend”, Will Smith announced that there will be a sequel to the Warner Bros.
It was through his social networks that Smith published a teaser of the tape written by Akiva Goldsman, in which he tagged Michael B. Jordan.
According to ” Deadline “, Will Smith and Michael B. Jordan will star and produce the action thriller.
Jordan and Elizabeth Raposo will be producing through their Outlier Society brand. Smith and Westbrook Studios head of film Jon Mone will produce the project, with Ryan Shimazaki supervising on behalf of Westbrook Studios. James Lassiter will serve as executive producer. Goldsman and Greg Lessans will also produce through Weed Road Pictures.
So far the details of the plot, the actors who will be part of the cast, and who will direct “I am Legend 2” are unknown, as well as the date on which the tape could be released.
The first “I Am Legend” movie was released in 2007 and starred Will Smith, who played a former US Army virologist, Robert Neville, the only survivor of New York in the midst of a plague that was created in an attempt to genetically re-engineer the measles virus to cure cancer.
