Fans are wondering: Is Justin Bieber putting his career at risk by sharing personal health issues?

Concern was caused by the revelations of the singer who recently told through his Instagram account that it seems like a complex diagnosis that forced him to suspend concerts

Canadian singer Justin Bieber is one of the many stars who do not hesitate to share their personal health problems.

Last week, Justin posted a video on Instagram not only sharing his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt Syndrome, which has left half of his face paralyzed, but also showing it off.

The 32-year-old pop superstar said in the video: “As you can see, this eye doesn’t blink. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril will not move.”

Hailey Bieber’s husband’s post showed how brave he is as it really takes courage to share his personal health issues for all 241 million followers to see, especially when to some extent his career depends on his looks physical.

But Bieber is just one of several people in the spotlight who have spoken openly about his health recently. While celebrities may have previously chosen to keep their medical issues out of the public eye, today, many seem to believe that the benefits (increasing awareness of medical conditions and controlling narratives about their own health) outweigh the costs.

Angelina Jolie, who in 2016 suffered from Bieber-like facial palsy, revealed her decision to have a preventative double mastectomy when she learned she had the gene that increases her risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. “I am writing about it now because I hope other women can benefit from my experience,” she said.

Will Smith’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s alopecia, an autoimmune condition that causes hair loss, prompted numerous calls to end the stigma around the disease.

Justin Bieber’s bold move suggests that he is not afraid of this and wanted to raise awareness among people about the disease, putting his singing career at risk, as many of his scheduled concerts have already been canceled due to this.
