Eternals: screenwriters want to create a prequel for Disney +

The ‘Eternals’ movie provoked divided opinions among the Marvel fandom; In addition, it could have not only a great impact on the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as clarified by its director Chloe Zhao and also open the door to tell other stories in an earlier time.

In addition to this, the writers noted that they would love a “prequel” to “Eternals.” 

In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the writers of ‘Eternals’, Ryan and Kaz Fripo, commented that they would love to be part of a prequel that, according to them, could perfectly fit as a television series for the Disney + platform.

The scriptwriters also acknowledge that they have thought of different ideas that could be explored in the episodes of a series focused on the Eternals.

We’ve even jokingly said that there should be an ‘Eternals’ prequel on Disney +. Go back and do an episode of Kingo in the Mumbai of 1890, where he is juggling his life as a movie star,” they declared.

Likewise, the writers also showed their enthusiasm for the potential spin-offs that could come out of the film.

[…] There will be a story to tell in the Cosmos with the Eternals facing Arishem and all the Celestials who are these incredible metaphors of creation. I think there are many stories in the universe of the Eternals”, he points out.
