Ishaan Khatter was born on 1 November 1995 in Mumbai to actor Rajesh Khatter and actress Neelima Azeem. Being born into an actor’s family, he also developed an interest in acting. He completed his schooling at Billabong High International School, Mumbai. He later joined RIMS International School and Junior College, Mumbai to pursue his graduation. His parents divorced in 2001, and he has been living with his mother since then.

He started his career as a child artist with his brother’s film ‘Wah! Life is like this!”‘, in 2005. He completed his schooling at Billabong High International School, Mumbai. Ishaan joined Shiamak Davar’s dance school to hone his dancing skills.

While Ishaan was in college, he worked as an assistant director for a few film projects, including ‘Udit Punjab’ (2016). He also did a cameo in ‘Udai Punjab’.
He started his career as a lead actor in the film Beyond the Clouds (2017) directed by noted director Majeed Majidi, which premiered at the BFI London Film Festival in 2017.
