Britney Spears calls documentaries about her ‘the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen’

Britney Spears finally had the opportunity to see the documentaries that have recently been made about her and apparently, she did not like the result, it has even bothered her to the point of considering them: ‘the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen in my life ‘.

This was noted by the pop star through a publication on his social networks in which he wrote a long note detailing his feelings regarding the productions that explore the sexism he faced during his rise to fame, as well as his recently ended 13-year conservatorship, apparently referring to The New York Times’ lauded movie ‘Framing Britney Spears,’ which premiered on Hulu in February 2021, and ‘Britney vs. Spears’ on Netflix, which came out in September 2021.

“And seriously, is it legal to make that many documentaries about someone without their permission? Seriously, think about it. I’ve never seen that many documentaries made about one person. Will Smith, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez. Not one person about the face of the earth would make people – a network, a television production or anyone else – dig up so much negative material and do hour-long specials claiming to ‘HELP ME’. REALLY? It was the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen. seen in my life and everyone I’ve talked to has said that’s why the guardianship is over… REALLY?” the artist wrote.

The star of ‘Crossroads’ accused the documentaries of having a “shameful tone” and questioned why “people think it’s legal to humiliate me.” In turn, she criticized them for exposing “bad images of her”. “It’s so insulting that she’s not even funny. And no, moron, my legs look nothing like that! America has been one thing and one thing only to me: a killer.”

It is not the first time that Spears has spoken about the productions made about her and her career. In March 2021, she wrote on Instagram, “I didn’t see the documentary but from what I saw of it I was embarrassed by the light they put on me. I cried for two weeks and well. I still cry sometimes.”

In September 2021, he said he watched “a bit” of a recent documentary (apparently ‘Britney vs. Spears’), writing on the same social network: “It’s really crazy guys. I saw a bit of the last documentary and I hate to break it to you but a lot of what you’ve heard is not true. I really try to disassociate myself from the drama.”
