This was noted by the pop star through a publication on his social networks in which he wrote a long note detailing his feelings regarding the productions that explore the sexism he faced during his rise to fame, as well as his recently ended 13-year conservatorship, apparently referring to The New York Times’ lauded movie ‘Framing Britney Spears,’ which premiered on Hulu in February 2021, and ‘Britney vs. Spears’ on Netflix, which came out in September 2021.

“And seriously, is it legal to make that many documentaries about someone without their permission? Seriously, think about it. I’ve never seen that many documentaries made about one person. Will Smith, Gwyneth Paltrow, Jennifer Lopez. Not one person about the face of the earth would make people – a network, a television production or anyone else – dig up so much negative material and do hour-long specials claiming to ‘HELP ME’. REALLY? It was the most insulting thing I’ve ever seen. seen in my life and everyone I’ve talked to has said that’s why the guardianship is over… REALLY?” the artist wrote.
