‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ Almost Took The Na’vi To Outer Space

Even though the new “Avatar” sequel will take place on the ocean, screenwriters Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver have revealed that a massive space battle was almost a part of the plot. Avatar: The Way of Water, James Cameron’s long-awaited sequel, took viewers on a journey beyond Pandora’s rainforests and into the depths of the planet’s beautiful oceans. Jaffa revealed that the film’s original script considered including a space battle between humans and the Na’vi. “That concept was widely discussed and it clearly resonated with people. However, we were having a hard time. How does that fit into the narrative we’re presenting?
