
Actor Fred Roldan dies at 62 after battle with neck cancer
This Tuesday the producer Alejandro Gou confirmed through his Twitter account the death of actor Fred Roldán, who died of severe neck cancer.
Lupita Sandoval, who was the actor’s partner, was asking for blood donors for the interpreter through her Facebook account since her situation was very serious.
Sandoval declared for El Universal that “He is in a very critical stage, he is serious, he is in intensive care, he has been there all week. It is the second relapse that he has had because he has a very aggressive cancer in his neck, yes, he has gotten very sick”.
Likewise, Lupita commented that “She went from one cancer to another, last year she was diagnosed with tongue cancer, she had all the chemo and radiotherapy in May and they did eradicate it; then her neck began to swell and they said that it was her thyroid that had burned, but it turned out to be another cancer”.
With an artistic career of more than 50 years, Roldán received the nickname “El Señor Teatro”, creating his own cultural centre, where in addition to acting he produced.
Undoubtedly, one of the characters for which the historian is most remembered is Pinocchio, whom he gave life to since 1980, in addition to staging works such as “Peter Pan”, “The Wizard of Oz”, “Aladdin” ” Sleeping Beauty “, “Snow White” “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, among others.
