7th season of Game of Thrones takes 7 Emmys technicians in the first gala awards

Game of Thrones is the series with more Emmys in history … and when the figure ends it seems that it will be simply unmatched. Yesterday the first part of the first part was celebrated (soon we will explain it) of the gala of the Emmys and it took to the buchaca, thanks to the 7ª season, no less than other 7 prizes more, of the categories that we call techniques.

Let’s develop it

The Emmys gala has been held for several years on two consecutive weekends. In the first of them are given the so-called technical awards, that is, those that are not acting, direction, script and best series. And on that weekend, on Saturday awards are given to the comedy and drama series, while on Sunday it’s up to reality shows, variety shows and games.

So you may have guessed that it was the turn of the Game Emmys of Game of Thrones last night. And although they have not won in all categories and  won two technical awards less than last year – where they broke the record – has won 7 awards of the 13 options in which he was nominated.

Game of Thrones accumulates, in the absence of what you get next weekend in the standard voting, and the final barrage that will undoubtedly get in its final season – which we will see if it competes in the Emmys 2019 or 2020 – 45 Emmys. Not only is it the most awarded series in history, but it seems unlikely that someone in the future will snatch it.

This is the list of technical awards that the seventh season of Game of Thrones has achieved, via Watchers:

• Best musical composition for a series (Original dramatic score): Ramin Djawadi. The music of the last chapter of the season has made him take our beloved Ramin another Emmy.
• Exceptional production design for a narrative period or fantasy program: By the 7 × 01 ‘Dragonstone’
• Best Fantasy / Science Fiction Costume: ‘Beyond the Wall’. Another Emmy for the spectacular Michelle Clapton! Remember that we have talked a lot about the wardrobe of Game of Thrones.
• Best prosthetic makeup for a series, limited series, film or special: For ‘The dragon and the wolf’.
• Best special effects: By the 7 × 06 Beyond the Wall ‘. If Game of Thrones did not take the special effects Emmy for this chapter or the battle of fire of the 7 × 04 War Anklets, it would have simply been a scandal.
• Best sound mix for a series of comedy or drama: Also for ‘Beyond the Wall’
• Better coordination of doubles for a dramatic series: If you have been extras in the seventh season of Game of Thrones (and we know that many are readers of our website) Congratulations! In your own way, you have also won an Emmy.

 

There have been no awards  for casting, sound editing, camera editing, choreography and non-prosthetic makeup. But above all, we are very sorry that finally Diana Rigg (Olenna Tyrell) is left without her prize as Best guest actress in what was her last season in the series.

And last night also awards were given to best actors and guest actresses – the general awards of actors are next week – and the Lady Commander of the Order of the British Empire has not been able to get his award. Her category, best actress invited to a Drama series, has been taken by Samira Wiley for her role in The Tale of the Maid.

Next Sunday night Game of Thrones will try to get some more prize in the generalist Emmys, in which it competes in the following lists:
